Design serving bowl Cylinda

The serving bowl from the Cylinda Line was designed in 1967 by Arne Jacobsen and has been used since 1972. Produced by Stelton. The bowl’s simple yet striking design has lost none of its charm. What makes the Cylinda Line Salad Bowl from Stelton so special is the double layer in stainless steel. The holes in the top layer trap moisture at the bottom. It is also possible to place ice on the bottom so that the food stays cool for longer.

Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) is one of the most recognized Danish architects and designers in the world. With amazing curiosity, originality and creativity, Arne Jacobsen played an important role in modernism and Danish design history. Contemporary designers are still heavily influenced by his works.

History Stelton

Stellan and Carton were two friends who, by combining their first names, created one of the most famous design brands in Denmark: Stelton. Their trading company originally sold sneakers and furniture, but the shops really got going when they heard about a small factory in Denmark’s Fårevejle called “Dansk Rustfrit”.

Dansk Rustfrit produced popular serving parts in stainless steel. After entering into an agreement with Dansk Rustfrit, Stelton started marketing a sauce bowl in stainless steel. This sauce bowl went like hotcakes at the Danish hardware stores, and the bowls became a big success outside of Denmark as well.

This bowl is about 20 years old, so we ask you to look carefully at the photos. This will give you a good impression of the condition of the bowl. We may have more Stelton products available.

The bowl will be carefully packaged and shipped with Post NL. It is also possible to pick up the bowl by appointment in Berkel en Rodenrijs.
