The family business Skagerak was founded in 1976. Quality comes first for the company. For example, the company’s focus is on producing sustainable furniture that will last for generations. Skagerak has found a balance between classical elements and modern life in his designs. The company works together with various international designers in which sustainable designs are central. The name Skagerrak is a reference to the company’s northern location. It is also a reference to the strait connecting Denmark with Norway and Sweden. Skagerak products have also been released under the Trip Trap name in the past.

“At Skagerak, we set the bar high to develop products that are made with genuine craftsmanship, environmental considerations and universal aesthetics. We make furniture that is made to be used and to survive in the long run, so that it patinates and collects stories,” says CEO and Skagerak owner Jesper Panduro.
