Design of Iittala Kivi

The name “Kivi” comes from the Finnish word for “stone.” These small jewels of light were designed by Heikki Orvola in 1988. The Kivis enhance the light of the flame and make it even more intense. What makes the Iittala Kivis special is that they are made of solid colored glass throughout, unlike other tealight holders where the glass is painted on the outside. The technique of solid colored glass ensures an exceptionally rich color.
