The Raadvaddam factory was founded in 1759 in the Danish city of the same name. According to the factory’s catalog of 1805, the factory did not focus on luxury goods, but on goods useful to professionals. This philosophy has never changed. Raadvad focused on quality knives and bread knives. The name was changed to Raadvad Knife Factory. The factory is more than 250 years old and is internationally known for its high quality. Ove Larsen designed the Raadvad bread slicer in 1939. The design is now an icon of Danish design!
